A wonderful afternoon over the weekend at the Anglican Church was had by four of the five Gloucester kids ably helped out by Kasey. The kids sang their old favorites and some lovely new numbers - the church was filled with music and an appreciative audience. The acoustics were marvelous as was the light shining through those beautiful windows. Thank you to the Reverend Michelle!
Behind the scenes the Gloucester Five kids practice day in and out honing their skills. Whether it be in the studio of their music teacher, Judy Ingram, or at home ... these guys are always working toward their goal of making beautiful music. Behind the smiles when you see these young people standing behind a microphone on a stage are nerves, sore throats, music lessons, travelling to gigs, early mornings and late evenings ... and the search for the perfect song ... all for the joy of singing ... Fantastic fundraising out the front of Woolworths Gloucester. Not only did we raise a substantial sum of money, the kids all worked equally as hard and were able to make contact with the locals who came by and explain why they are raising money and the benefits of the trip away to Europe next year, not only for the kids themselves, but also to open the way for future Gloucester kids to participate in future opportunities of this kind. The public were wonderfully generous, buying our marvellous BBQ creations, and donating towards the cause! Enormous thanks to all those who came, to Woolworths for allowing them to use the equipment and to Hebby's Bakery who donated the very tasty bread buns. Fantastic day thanks to all! Last night the Gloucester Five group met with the Gloucester Business Chamber, introducing themselves and explaining why they are fundraising to go to Europe for the West of the Divide Tour of Europe. Those present at the meeting were extremely interested and gave resounding support for the project. They are pictured here with the high school music teacher Judy Ingram, our most inspired and supportive driver of the project.
